Providence, R.I.—Rhode Island College senior back Jackson Fox (Portsmouth, R.I.) was named the Little East Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in a pair of ties for the Anchormen last week.
 
He was a standout as RIC limited Johnson and Wales to just six shots (four on goal) in a 2-2 tie on Sept. 16. Fox was outstanding, including a game-saving play by knocking a sure goal off the goal line, to preserve a 0-0 tie vs. the reigning Little East champions, UMass Boston, on Sept. 19.
 
For the season, Fox has played in six games, starting all of them.
 
Head Coach Kyle Froberg's team is 2-2-2 overall and 0-0-2 in the Little East. RIC is unbeaten in its last four games.
 
In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will host Coast Guard on Tuesday, Sept. 22 (6 p.m.).
