Providence, R.I--Rhode Island College freshman Naibel Noriega (Providence, R.I.) was named the Little East Women's Rookie Track Athlete of the Week for her performance at Boston University's David Hemery Valentine Invitational on February 14.
It is the third time this winter that Noriega has received this accolade. Noriega was also named to the Little East Women's Track Relay Team of the Week as a member of the 4x400m squad for the second time this winter.
She finished 27th in the 4x400m relay (4:03.85;Â team season best), 52nd in the 400m (58.62) and 53rd in the 200m (26.18).
It was an individual meet with mostly Div. I competition.
In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the 2026 Little East Women's Indoor Track and Field Championship, hosted by Plymouth State on Saturday, Feb. 21.
