Austin Cilley was an standout on Rhode Island College's men's golf team during his career as an Anchorman from 2013-18.

The Westerly, R.I. native was a 100th Anniversary Team selection, a John E. Hetherman Award recipient, earned All-New England and All-Conference honors in men’s golf and a member of a conference champion and NCAA Championship qualifying team.

As a senior in 2017-18, Cilley was named to the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) Div. III PING Northeast All-Region Team. Cilley earned All-Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) and All-New England honors as he led the Anchormen in scoring average (74.46), playing in 15 rounds at nine events during the year. He shot a 70 and earned medalist honors with a first place finish at the MCLA invitational on Sept. 14. He also earned medalist honors with a first place finish at the Hampton Inn Invitational on April 13-14. Cilley shot a season-best 68 in the second round of the NEIGA Championship on October 22-23 to earn a second place finish at the tournament to earn All-New England honors. Cilley helped lead the Anchormen to first place at a pair of tournaments during the season, capturing the MCLA Invitational (Sept. 14) and the RIC Spring Invitational (April 7). RIC also notched a pair of second place finishes on the season, taking runner-up honors at the GNAC Championship (Oct. 14-15) and the NEIGA Championship (Oct. 22-23).

As a junior in 2016-17, Cilley led the Anchormen in scoring average at 76.95 in 13 competitions on the season. He earned medalist honors with a 71, his lowest round of the season, at the RIC Invitational on April 14.

As a sophomore in 2015-16, Cilley averaged a score of 83.4 for the season, while competing in four events. His season-low score of 78 came at the MCLA Trailblazer Invitational on Sept. 15.

As a freshman in 2013-14, Cilley helped lead men’s basketball to the 2013-14 Little East Tournament title and a berth in the NCAA Tournament before an injury cut short his hoops career. He was named to the Little East Conference All-Rookie Team. He played 22 games, starting 17 of them. Cilley averaged a team-high 12.4 points to go along with 3.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 0.9 steals per game. He ranked second in the Little East in free throw percentage (.879) and posted the third-highest single-season free throw percentage in program history.
