Eric Thibault was an outstanding pitcher in baseball during his Rhode Island College career from 2005-08.

The Somerset, Mass. native was an All-Little East selection, graduated as RIC’s all-time leader in starts, innings pitched and strikeouts and helped the Anchormen win the program’s first-ever Little East Tournament title and compete in the NCAA Tournament in ’05.

Thibault closed out his career having appeared in 48 games, starting 40 of them. He was 20-15 with 196 strikeouts in 275.2 innings pitched.

As a senior in 2008, Thibault was named Second Team All-Little East Conference. Thibault appeared in 11 games, starting 10 of them. He posted a 7-2 record with two complete games, one shutout, a 3.78 ERA and 46 strikeouts in 66.2 innings pitched. He led the team in win, games started and innings pitched, while ranking second in strikeouts.

As a junior in 2007, Thibault appeared in 12 games, starting nine of them. He was 4-4 with a 4.91 ERA and 42 strikeouts in a team-high 62.1 innings.

As a sophomore in 2006, Thibault appeared in 13 games, starting all of them. He was 5-6 with a 5.49 ERA and 61 strikeouts in 80.1 innings pitched. Thibault led the team in both innings pitched and strikeouts and was second in wins.

As a freshman in 2005, Thibault appeared in 12 games, starting eight of them. He owned a 4-3 record with a 4.34 ERA and a team-high four complete games, with one shutout. In a team-high 66.1 innings pitched, he struck out a team-best 47 batters.
