Dr. Philip Reilly served as Rhode Island College's team physician from 1998-25 during which he cared for thousands of RIC student-athletes during his tenure.
Reilly came to campus each week to examine student-athletes to assist in injury prevention, treatment and care. He also performed countless surguries, which allowed RIC student-athletes to return to competition afer suffering potential career-ending injuries.
He earned his medical degree from Columbia University's College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1984. Reilly completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Northwestern University in 1990. He finished a prestigious fellowship in sports medicine, under the direction of Dr. Joseph Torg, at the University of Pennsylvania in 1993.
Dr. Reilly was in private practice in Rhode Island for 28 years.
