A Rhode Island College graduate of the 1960 class, Davis was a three sport athlete (volleyball, basketball, soccer) for the college.

A thirty-one year scholastic educator for the City of Providence (1960-1968) and the City of Warwick (1968-1990).

Concentrating her efforts in the sports of basketball and volleyball, Davis also coached softball and track & field.

After coaching the State Champion Warwick PALS softball team in 1976, her high school success began to soar. Davis’ Toll-Gate Basketball squad compiled a fine record of 57 wins against just 17 losses and emerged as the State Champions of the 1982-83 season after a good Runner-Ups showing the previous year.

Her Titan volleyball teams proved extremely successful as the amassed 354 victories, while letting just 27 contests slip away. The program virtually dominated the state as they emerged as the top school in Rhode Island on 10 occasions spanning from 1979 to 1991.

Her collegiate coaching experience at the Community College of Rhode Island happened during those same years and met similar prosperity. The squads captured the New England Championships seven seasons (1978, 79, 83, 86, 88-90) and were four-time Colonial States Conference Champions (1988-1991).
