Rhode Island College

Pierre "Pete" Emond was a forward on RIC’s men’s basketball team and also served as an assistant coach for the team after graduation. Bill Baird, who Emond played for and coached with, remembers Emond as an outstanding player. "Pete was a quick, hustling player who always filled in on the fast break. He was a hard worker and a very mature player."

Upon his graduation from RIC, Emond taught French and history in North Providence for 28 years from 1970-97. He also taught French at Mt. St. Charles Academy upon his retirement from North Providence.
