Kyle Allaire ’12, ’15 was an outstanding shortstop for the Anchormen from 2009-12.

He closed out his four-year career at RIC having played in 142 games, starting 134 of them. He batted .378 (216-for-571) with 132 runs scored, 216 hits, 21 doubles, two triples, one home run, 86 RBI, 62 walks and 36 stolen bases. Allaire owned a .427 slugging percentage, a .442 on-base percentage and a .931 fielding percentage. He departs as the all-time leader in career hits and career assists (429), and is also tied for the all-time lead in career runs scored.

As a senior in 2012, Allaire was named First Team All-ECAC, First Team All-New England by D3Baseball.com, Second Team All-New England by the New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association (NEIBA), was the Little East Conference Co-Player of the Year, First Team All-Little East and the team’s MVP. He played in 43 games, starting all of them. Allaire batted .397 (71-for-179) with 44 runs scored, 71 hits, six doubles, 18 RBI, 26 walks and 14 stolen bases. He owned a .430 slugging percentage, a .478 on-base percentage and a .942 fielding percentage. Allaire became the program’s all-time career hits leader against Eastern Connecticut on April 21. He led the Anchormen in batting average, runs scored, hits, on-base percentage and stolen bases. Allaire ranked second on the squad in walks, while also ranking third in total bases (77). His 71 hits on the year ranked second all-time for a single season in program history, while his 44 runs scored ranked sixth all-time for a single campaign. Allaire also established a new single-season record for assists (147). He was named the Little East Conference Player of the Week once on the year.

As a junior in 2011, Allaire was named Third Team All-New England, First Team All-Little East Conference and team MVP. He played in 42 games, starting 41 of them. Allaire batted .398 (72-for-181) with 41 runs scored, 72 hits, six doubles, one home run, 30 RBI and 12 stolen bases. He owned a .448 slugging percentage, a .450 on-base percentage and a .931 fielding percentage. Allaire led the team in batting, hits and stolen bases, while ranking fourth in RBI. He set new single-season program records for at-bats (181), hits and assists (131).

As a sophomore in 2010, Allaire played in 39 games, starting all of them. He batted .331 with 36 runs scored, 53 hits, seven doubles, two triples, 25 RBI and six stolen bases. Allaire owned a .400 slugging percentage, a .401 on-base percentage and a .926 fielding percentage. He led the team in hits and assists (110), was second in runs and fourth in batting.

As a freshman in 2009, Allaire played in 18 games, starting 11 of them. He batted .392 with 11 runs scored, 20 hits, two doubles, 13 RBI and four stolen bases. Allaire owned a .431 slugging percentage, a .414 on-base percentage and a .914 fielding percentage.

He earned a bachelor's degree in math education from Rhode Island College in 2012. Allaire earned his master's degree in math from RIC.
