Melinda J. (Roczynski) Dietz ’00 was one of the region’s top high jumpers in women’s track & field who helped lead Rhode Island College to the Little East Outdoor Championship in 1999 and the Indoor Championship in 2000.

She won both the indoor and outdoor N.E. Alliance and Little East individual titles in the high jump as a junior in 1999 and again as a senior in 2000.

Dietz earned multiple indoor and outdoor All-ECAC, All-New England, N.E. Alliance and Little East honors in the high jump during her outstanding career. 

As a senior in 2000, she won both the ECAC, N.E. Alliance and Little East titles in the high jump during the outdoor campaign. As a junior in 1999, she won the N.E. Alliance and Little East titles. As a freshman in 1997, she won both the ECAC and N.E. Championship in the high jump.
