A graduate of Rhode Island College in 1963, he was a three sport athlete for the Anchormen (Soccer, Basketball, Baseball).

Pepin was a Special Education Teacher for the Providence School Department from 1963 to 1970 and he was the Bishop Hendricken Athletic Director and head Basketball and Baseball coach from 1970 to 1984.

Currently he is the Head Basketball Coach and Athletic Director at Stonehill College.

Pepin received Rhode Island Coach of the Year honors in 1979, 1981 and 1983. Also, he received Rhode Island Athletic Director of the Year honors in 1982 and was the National Sports Festival Gold Medal Coach and Jewish Bowling Congress Man of the Year in 1983.
